User Guide

Tile Desk is the stock-and-sales system for a tile shop: one place to track every design you carry, quote and invoice customers, and log everything you buy from suppliers — vehicles, parties, and payments. This guide walks through every screen in the app, step by step, with screenshots from a live shop so you can follow along.

The app is organised into two groups in the left sidebar. Invoicing covers the selling side — Quotations, Invoices, Customers. Purchasing covers the buying side — Vehicles, Parties, Order list, Payments, Assets. Gallery, Dashboard, Box calculator, Inventory, and Settings sit above and below those groups and apply across the whole shop.

Screens throughout this guide are from Tile Desk's demo shop, so the numbers you see are sample data — your own catalogue, customers, and totals will look different.

Gallery

Gallery is the home screen — a visual grid of every design you stock, so you (or anyone on the floor) can recognise a tile by sight instead of hunting for a code.

Browse and filter your catalogue

  1. Open Gallery from the sidebar — it's the first item, and also where the app lands after login.
  2. Use the filter bar to narrow the grid by category, size, finish, or stock status (In Stock / Low Stock / Out of Stock).
  3. Change Sort to reorder the grid — by design code, name, or stock level.
  4. Each card shows the design code, name, size, and a stock-status badge at a glance.

Gallery — every design at a glance, with live stock-status badges.

Check a single design's numbers

Click any card to open its detail panel without leaving the grid. It shows boxes in stock, when it was stocked in, days since the last sale, price vs. cost per box, capital tied up in that design, estimated holding cost, and a sales-trend chart you can toggle between Sales and Holding cost.

  1. Click a tile card to open its detail popup.
  2. Review the four stat rows: In stock, Stocked in, Days since last sale, Price / cost per box.
  3. Check Capital tied up now and Total holding cost to date if you're deciding whether to discount a slow mover.
  4. Use the Sales / Holding cost toggle above the chart to switch what the trend line shows.
  5. Click the outward-arrow icon to open the design's full page, or the × to close and return to the grid.
